It is finally smoothie weather people! Maybe you're the type of person who drinks smoothies all year round, but for me smoothies mean spring and summertime. So I was stoked to blend one of my signature smoothies this weekend, which I'm going to share this recipe with all of you!
This smoothie recipe was an invention of mine last summer, and I have to admit I was kind of inspired by a few smoothie graphics on Pinterest. There are some serious smoothie aficionados on Pinterest, it’s awesome. If you love this recipe, then here’s a few pins to save for later:
This graphic on how to build a perfect smoothie is genius. There are five elements to a perfect smoothie: Fruits, liquids, veggies, creamy (yogurt), and flavor. You can also add an energy boost – like a scoop of protein powder, chia seeds, or oatmeal.

And now, here’s my recipe!
- 1 cup of frozen berries
- 1 banana (frozen or room temperature)
- 1/3 cup plain non-fat greek yogurt
- 1 cup orange juice
- 1 tablespoon of peanut butter
Blend – duh.
I do recommend you put the greek yogurt and peanut butter in first, produces a better blend. At least it does for our cheaper blender!
