Over the past few months when I ask friends about what is hard about budgeting, I get the same type of response: "Is it possible to be healthy on a budget?"
This is usually coming from a crowd of millennials who find that buying ramen, macaroni and cheese, and tortilla chips seem like the only easy option when trying to stay cheap with groceries week-after-week. It's that same crowd of people who have a hard time affording a gym membership (or even finding time to even work out) and come to the assumption that being healthy AND living a budget-friendly life is absolutely 100% impossible.
News flash, it's not, and here's why.
No, you don't need to buy groceries specifically at health food stores or even Whole Foods to be healthy. It's really all about planning and prepping meals for your week in advance. For those with a busy schedule, this type of work seems time consuming. Which is why, ladies and gentlemen, I have already done it for you.
I want to introduce to you the very first 10-For-10 meal plan! This meal plan walks you through 10 different recipes using only 10 ingredients. They are easy breakfast, main dish, and snack recipes to make with those simple 10 ingredients.
How does it work?
Every month I will come out with a new issue of 10-for-10 to inspiring my readers to eat healthy on a budget. The ingredients chosen are the typical go-to's in our household, along with the recipes created. On the grocery list you will find the 10 ingredients chosen for the month, and each recipe will have a list of which of those ingredients will be used.
Why is there a pantry checklist?
Since this is the beginning of the program, there is a small pantry checklist with oils, spices, and sauces....because, well, your food wouldn't really taste like anything without them. You may be pleasantly surprised how many of these ingredients already sit in your food pantries, which is why I chose them. Each month I may add a few here or there, but my hope is to keep the pantry checklist the same so you can use those same ingredients over and over!
What happens at the end of the month?
At the end of the month, the meal plan will be switched out with the newest edition! Yes, these meal plans are free, but not for long. At the end of ten 10-for-10 recipe books, I will be compiling them to sell as an E-book! Releasing them early to my dedicated readers is a way to give feedback, so please feel free to reach out to me with any comments you may have!
How do I get it?
